Welcome to Brick Recycling

ABOUT US

Brick Recycling Company, Inc. is a family-owned business committed to serving its customers while exercising the social and environmental responsibilities that come along with the recycling industry. We are a business built upon a foundation of hard work, family values, performance excellence, customer satisfaction and employee commitment.

In business for more than 50 years, we have balanced the management, operations and safety of doing our business with the community relations necessary to make us a good community partner.

The DeCenzos
The DeCenzo family has been in the recycling business for more than 50 years, including owning and operating Neptune Iron and Metal Inc. With affiliated businesses (they also own and operate DeCenzo Builders Incorporated), the transition to recycling scrap metal was natural for the family and offered a value-added service to their many colleagues in the construction and plumbing industries.

DeCenzo Family

Pete DeCenzo and his son Roman pose with one of Brick Recyling’s trucks at its 9.5-acre site in BrickTownship,
Ocean County, NJ.

Peter DeCenzo, III had more than a backyard to play in as a child…he had his father’s junkyard! When he was young, Peter played – and worked – in his father’s junkyard, learning the metal and recycling business. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor of arts in Economics, which helps him better understand his business and the commodities market…which translates into giving the best metal pricing to his customers. Today he serves as co-owner and vice president, while his father, Peter DeCenzo, Jr., still serves as president.

The Facility & Our Staff
Brick Recycling is set on 9.5-acres in Brick Township, Ocean County, New Jersey. On site we have a certified weigh master and five different scale capacities, able to weigh a variety of loads – big and small.

The Community
Image is everything and we care about how the community views us.

We continuously work to keep our facility clean and aesthetically pleasing to our neighbors and those that pass by. We also integrate emerging environmental practices as part of our long-term plan to be an aware and committed community partner.

Additionally, we are proud to support our local police, fire and emergency management teams by offering the use of our yard, equipment and scrap for training.

Brick Township Fire Department

On September 12, 2007, the BrickTownship Fire Department held a training session at Brick
Recycling’s yard. The training included a simulated car crash and rescue.
