Brick Recycling Company, founded by the DeCenzo family in 1998, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. In keeping with the values founded upon, the company looks forward to more years in the recycling business. This, the DeCenzo’s believe, can be achieved by a positive community presence, innovation in the industry and keeping up to date on equipment used at the facility - the company is on its 3rd technological update. For ten years, the company has made its utmost effort to provide customers with competitive pricing for their scrap metal materials by staying current with the continuously volatile commodities metal market.

Brick Recycling Helps Raise Money for Autoimmune Patients

Among several other local businesses, Brick Recycling Company participated in the “Touch a Truck” event at the Lakewood Blue Claws Stadium on Sunday, October 22nd.  At this event, children of all ages had a chance to get up close to all types of vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, garbage trucks, mail trucks, and more.  Brick Recycling provided our brand new 2008 Fuchs and Peterbilt tractor.  The event was hosted by the Autoimmune Information Network, learn more at www.aininc.org .  The event had more than 1,000 spectators and raised more than $5,000.

Brick Recycling Company recognized as a “Fastest Growing Company” in the United States

September 18-20 Brick Recycling Company’s Andrea Melone attended the Inc. 500/Inc. 5000 Conference and Awards ceremony at the Gaylord National Hotel in Washington D.C.  The Inc. 500/Inc. 5000 celebrates the nation’s fastest growing private businesses.  Each year the ceremony brings together the driven entrepreneurs for 3 days filled with networking opportunities, notable speakers, and of course, celebration with other hard-working leaders from across the country!  Brick Recycling Company placed 1,904 in the Inc. 5000, boasting a 398% 3-year growth (2004-2007); Brick also ranked 26 of 50 for environmental service companies

A New Truck in Town

Brick Recycling Company has expanded its service with an addition to its fleet of trucks and equipment – a 1999 GMC flat bed! Now customers can have their old junk cars picked up and lifted off their shoulders. Call Matt at 732-312-3390 for more information.

Brick Recycling Supports Breast Cancer Awareness and Education

Brick Recycling donated over $300 to sponsor a golf team in Zeta Tau Alpha’s 11th Annual Crown Classic Golf Tournament on April 19th.  The Crown Classic is the sorority’s biggest fundraising event of the year for its national philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.  One of Brick Recycling’s employees, Andréa Melone, is a member of this sorority at Elon University in North Carolina.  Last year’s tournament raised over $17,000 in funding for the Susan G. Koman Foundation and several other organizations.  Brick Recycling proudly recognizes and supports the significance of breast cancer education and awareness.

Summer Camp Students Go Green at Brick Recycling

Students from a local Tutor Time spent two days at Brick Recycling learning all about what it means to ‘Go Green!’ Peter DeCenzo, owner and vice president, hosted the youngsters and taught them about different metals, the recycling process and why it’s important to recycle.

Brick Recycling Featured in Documentary for Kids

Tapestry.tv, an award winning television company, taped parts of a documentary about trash and recycling at Brick Recycling. The show, which will be available to elementary schools across the country as part of their science curriculum, highlighted a visit to Brick Recycling by local school children. During the show, kids will learn about recycling and why it’s important to the environment and economy. The show is slated to be available on DVD in early December 2007 through Discovery Kids Channel.

Brick Recycling Donates More Than $500 to Local Police Department for Bullet Proof Vest

In support of the Brick Township Police Department, Brick Recycling donated more than $500 for the purchase of a bullet proof vest. “Bullet proof vests are a priceless tool in the law enforcement industry and Brick Recycling is honored to be able to provide this life saving technology to our police officers,” said Peter DeCenzo, owner and vice president. Brick, along with other local businesses, donated the money to support the police department and ensure its officers are equipped and safe while protecting the community.

To support the local community and celebrate summer, Brick Recycling announced that it is the presenting sponsor of the 2007 Brick Township Summerfest. Summerfest offers local residents free special events, including music, fireworks and other fun activities, each Tuesday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Brick Recycling Adds New Member of the Team…2008 367 Peterbilt Tractor

Brick Recycling’s team includes not just people…but machinery! In April, Brick added a new member to the team – a 2008 367 Peterbilt Tractor. With 500 horsepower, this tractor is designed to serve Brick’s needs, allowing the Brick team to carry 20 tons of scrap to and from work sites.

During a ceremony in New York City, Brick Recycling was honored with a 2006 Forbes Enterprise Award. The Awards were created to recognize excellence in America’s smaller businesses and to honor those businesses that make significant contributions to the economy and future growth. Brick was one of 84 honorees from New York metropolitan area, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.
