Summer Camp Students Go Green at Brick Recycling
Students from a local Tutor Time spent two days at Brick Recycling learning all about what it means to ‘Go Green!’ Peter DeCenzo, owner and vice president, hosted the youngsters and taught them about different metals, the recycling process and why it’s important to recycle.

Brick Recycling Featured in Documentary for Kids
Tapestry.tv, an award winning television company, taped parts of a documentary about trash and recycling at Brick Recycling. The show, which will be available to elementary schools across the country as part of their science curriculum, highlighted a visit to Brick Recycling by local school children. During the show, kids will learn about recycling and why it’s important to the environment and economy. The show is slated to be available on DVD in early December 2007 through Discovery Kids Channel.

Brick Recycling Donates More Than $500 to Local Police Department for Bullet Proof Vest
In support of the Brick Township Police Department, Brick Recycling donated more than $500 for the purchase of a bullet proof vest. “Bullet proof vests are a priceless tool in the law enforcement industry and Brick Recycling is honored to be able to provide this life saving technology to our police officers,” said Peter DeCenzo, owner and vice president. Brick, along with other local businesses, donated the money to support the police department and ensure its officers are equipped and safe while protecting the community.

To support the local community and celebrate summer, Brick Recycling announced that it is the presenting sponsor of the 2007 Brick Township Summerfest. Summerfest offers local residents free special events, including music, fireworks and other fun activities, each Tuesday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Brick Recycling Adds New Member of the Team…2008 367 Peterbilt Tractor
Brick Recycling’s team includes not just people…but machinery! In April, Brick added a new member to the team – a 2008 367 Peterbilt Tractor. With 500 horsepower, this tractor is designed to serve Brick’s needs, allowing the Brick team to carry 20 tons of scrap to and from work sites.

Brick Recycling Honored with 2006 Forbes Enterprise Award
During a ceremony in New York City, Brick Recycling was honored with a 2006 Forbes Enterprise Award. The Awards were created to recognize excellence in America’s smaller businesses and to honor those businesses that make significant contributions to the economy and future growth. Brick was one of 84 honorees from New York metropolitan area, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.
